Clearpoint Counsel was one of 3 Melbourne based lawfirms awarded a “legal Oscar” for innovation at the 2014 LexisNexis Innovation Index Awards and was placed on the 2014 Legal Innovation Index.

In response to the rapidly changing face of the legal industry, LexisNexis® Pacific and Janders Dean launched the Australia and New Zealand annual Legal Innovation Index for the legal industry in 2013. Firms and in-house legal teams across Australia & New Zealand were assessed on their holistic approach to innovation with particular attention to the categories of knowledge sharing, cost and time management, client service delivery and employee engagement.

The judges recognised Clearpoint’s “New Law” approach and commending the”delivery of legal services through a genuine alternative model”. Also highlighted was Clearpoint’s B Certification, its enthusiasm for new technology including apps, and its focus on employee health and well-being.

We want to thank all our clients and supporters for being part of this success story and believing in us on our journey to create a sustainable legal model for businesses with purpose.

Legal+Innovation+AwardThe prestigious panel of judges included: Michael Roch (Kerma), Karen White (Pod Legal), Melissa Davis (MD Communications), Denise Farmer (LexisNexis) and Justin North (Janders Dean). Steven Hallam, Deloitte Digital partner, was very impressed with the calibre of this year’s entries and said “It was really pleasing to see all the different ways that entrants are now innovating their business models to respond to digital disruption.
